High-Capacity Thermal Control for Mega & Giga Die Casting

The automotive casting industry is being transformed by Mega Casting and Giga Casting — the manufacturing of massive single-piece structural aluminium components such as front/rear underbodies, battery enclosures, and suspension towers on 6,000 to 12,000+ ton casting machines.

IECI has pioneered the GigaThermo and MegaThermo series to meet the tremendous thermal challenges posed by these monumental moulds. With massive cooling capacities of up to 600 kW and flow distribution across up to 40 individual circuits, IECI systems maintain homogeneous temperature gradients across gigantic die surfaces, eliminating warpage, cold shuts, and residual stresses.

 
 
MegaThermo Series (Compact High-Output Solution)

The IECI MegaThermo is engineered for mid-to-large structural die casting machines requiring intense thermal regulation up to 300 kW cooling capacity with distribution across typically 10 high-flow circuits.

Utilizing pressurized water up to 160°C, MegaThermo eliminates the environmental hazards and high operating costs of oil, while delivering extraordinary heat transfer rates that shorten cycle times on complex structural parts.
